Meet the Finalists: Tete-a-Tea
>> Thursday 14 July 2011
On this Nom Nom Nom Q & A we meet Tete-a-Tea aka Sharon Jakobowiz and Lea Simpson.
We’ve been there done that and got the t-shirt as far as NomNomNom is concerned and this year we are back with a vengeance. That and Gordon’s G&T out of a tin. All about the class, us.
What impact do you think social networks and bloggers have had on the world of cooking and/or restaurant reviewing?
It’s made everything more democratic. People share knowledge about restaurants and cooking widely and word of mouth (or internet) is more powerful than ever before. Running a pop-up tearoom I reach most of my clients via social networking sites.
What’s your most memorable kitchen disaster?
Last years’ NomNomNom. We have repressed the finer details deep into our shared unconscious. Moving on swifty
If you were marooned on a desert island, what food couldn’t you live without?
Aubergines, so underrated.
And finally (aside from bribery), what is the special element that will ensure that your team wins?
We stay cool under pressure. Even when missing a turn and accidentally taking a Go-cart onto a Portuguese motorway. True fact.
So pleased that Top Gear don't do a Nom Nom Nom otherwise these two would be in trouble!
